Last week, we went to Elliott Farms in Lizella to pick fresh strawberries. The taste of a strawberry seconds after it is picked is amazing. It could be the freshness or the pesticides — I don’t really know. We try to take the kids out to the strawberry fields several times a year during strawberry season.
This past weekend was a rare weekend. We had absolutely no plans, obligations, or committments. That makes for a great excuse to skip town. We drove up through North Carolina into Tennessee through the Smoky Mountains on Saturday morning, and returned on Sunday, stopping at a few shopping destinations in Atlanta.
