Pregnancy Update

Sunday, November 30th, 2014

Today marks 19 weeks of pregnancy. I can’t believe we’re half way to having a third child!

Next week is the 20 week ultrasound, where most people find out the sex of our child.  Not us this time!  We do plan to take the kids though.

We’ve been through lots and lots and lots of pickles at our house. Among other stuff. I posted the first picture below to Facebook, but I didn’t post the second picture. The second picture is the reaction after she heard the shutter click when I took the first. When you are doing something weird in my house and you hear a shutter click, its pretty much guaranteed to go on some form of social media.

We also went maternity shopping a couple of weeks ago. Apparently we spent so much time and money there that it warranted getting a hand written thank you from the salesperson.

Pralines

Monday, November 17th, 2014

The pecans are once again falling, although it doesn’t look like the crop will be as plentiful as it was last year.  Over the weekend, we shelled a good bit of them and tonight I made pralines. They turned out really good!

I need more pecan recipes!

Singing Mackenzie

Sunday, November 16th, 2014

Kimberlie read in some baby book that at this stage of the pregnancy, the baby can hear and it suggested that you sing to the baby so that it can become accustomed to your voice. She should have never said that in front of Mackenzie.

I sure hope the baby likes Taylor Swift!

Happy Birthday Tristan!

Thursday, November 13th, 2014

Tristan turned 11 during the wee hours of the morning.  Unfortunately he wasn’t feeling well when he woke up. That’s actually a birthday muffin in the picture, but he didn’t feel well enough to eat it.

After school, however, he was all better and was ready for celebrating. Most of the celebrating so far has been with grandparents. This weekend, we will take him to the restaurant of his choice.

Science Projects

Wednesday, November 5th, 2014

Science projects are going to be the death of me. Especially when my 8 year old takes over my computer to work on her powerpoint.  I don’t think powerpoint even existed when I was 8!
